House Tours

Tours of the two historic houses at the Center for History (Copshaholm and the Worker’s Home) are guided by docents who will impress you with their grace and knowledge of the homes. On Monday -Saturday, tours are offered at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. On Sunday, tours are offered at 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Please plan to spend 1 ½ hours with us for a guided tour. Tours of the exhibits are self-guided.

Group Tours

The Center for History likes rolling out the red carpet for tour groups. Our site includes two historic houses (Copshaholm and the Worker’s Home), through which guided tours are given. Tours of the exhibits are self-guided. A warm welcome awaits tour groups on the day of their visit. Guided tours begin promptly and our museum staff stands ready to assist any way we can. Two complimentary tickets are given to each group for the tour leader and driver. Reservations are necessary and can be made by contacting our tour coordinator at (574) 235-9664, ext. 239 or

School Field Trips

The Center for History offers tours specially designed for school groups. Your field trip can include visits to the historic houses, Kidsfirst Children’s Museum, Voyages Gallery and special exhibits in our galleries.
